Updated design for 2025 our Bib Bit allows you to cut clean holes in your mousse bib with ease. Now with four sizes to choose from; .75" 1", 1.25", 1.5" you can now adjust how much 'pressure' you want to run.
The most popular setup is larger holes cut horizontally (ex: 1.25" bit spaced 3" apart. However you can vary the feel by changing the hole size, hole spacing, changing hole size every other hole or even start adding smaller vertical holes like many of the top pro hard enduro racers are doing.
The drill bit produces such a clean hole that it leaves you with a core so when the bib starts wearing out and it gets softer than you want simply re-insert the pieces of foam you originally cut to firm it up a bit. If you were to try and use a standard wood drill bit you would get a lot of tear making a big mess and causing the bib to degrade and wear out much faster. With the Bib Bit you get a very clean hole that prolongs the life of the bib. A softer bib not only gives you much more traction but as an added bonus the softer bib is much easier to install and your bike is even a little lower! If you run mousse bib's this will sure to become an essential tool in your tire charing kit.Β
Sizes
β0.75": best for small adjustment or adding additional vertical holes
β1": best for small adjustment or adding additional vertical holes
β1.25": best all around size for a nice soft bib
β1.5": best for a super soft setup with no time break in time (ex: new bib and race next day)
βHole depth: 4.75" (works on every bib we've tried: Michelin, nitro, big 140's ect)
Β Β
How To Use
βThe Bit Bit will work with old or new bibs but you get the cleanest cuts with a new one
βGet a piece of scrap wood and place it under neath where you want to cut your hole. Do not drill into cardboard as its easy for the bit to drill through the cardboard and dull the bit when it touches the concrete.Β
βMount the Bit Bit in a drill set to the lowest torque setting (lower numbers on your drill)
βLube the Bit Bit with silicone spray or mouse greaseΒ
βDrill through the bib and remove the excess foam by pulling it out of the side slots
βDrill holes close together for softer feel or farther apart for more firm
Β
Version Updates
V2 Update 06/20/25
βnew design for easier hole cutting
βstronger steel, new edge bevel angle, different plug release
βlonger cutting depth (4.75")
βhex shank for stronger hold in drillΒ
βnew coating and size logo
βnew 0.75" size
