The Mitas 110/100-18 XT-454 is a premium Hard-Enduro Tire. Competition Specific “Double Green” sticky compound. Unique combination of stability and grip in rocky conditions with wet or loose mixed terrain. Large knob block provides stability under acceleration & braking. Mitas’ signature “2× Green” stripe competition compound provides maximum grip and resists cuts or tears. Ideal choice for slippery east coast hard Enduro events or rocky, fast & rough west coast extreme Enduro racing. Double green stripes indicate a tire with a softer carcass and extra soft tread compound for rocky terrain and most demanding extreme enduro competitions

This is my unicorn tire. The XT 454 seems to work amazing in every situation and is the longest lasting gummy tire I have ridden. It even outlasted hybrid gummy tires that have harder compound and not as good of grip. The ultra soft gummy knob grips boulders super well but because they are wider dont fold over in the loose climbs and shaley rocks. Mitas' special rubber compound somehow does not tear off and chunk like other soft tires I've ridden. This is currently my favorite rear tire due to the extreme traction and longevity. I run a Micheline M18 bib and drill it out for pressure using the Bib Bit -Trailbound Chris

Best tire I've used so far

The XT-454 is a great utah tire. It hooks up great in sand/moon dust for a knobby and its dirt/rock performance is equal or better then the JX8. I was running it with tubliss which ultimately lead to its demise after a off camber splatter. It has around 40% tread left with 20-25hrs on it.

Great Grippin Tire!

This tire has so far proven to be fantastic so far. After 3 rides it is showing little wear and it sticks to the rocks and roots great. Handles well over the rocky and loose hill climbs also. Love this tire so far and looking forward to seeing how many hours she gives me!

Durable traction

This tire has been awesome. I’ve been running Kenda Ibex for several seasons now, which is a great tire, but for the price, they don’t hold up well at all. This tire has great stick and noticeably better durability than the ibex at a better price.

THE TIRE FOR SINGLE TRACK AND ENDURO WOODS RIDING

Going from Shinko tires to Mitas was something I should have done before this season. After contacting Chris and talking to him about the Mitas brand, I purchased this gummy tire from trailbound for an upcoming trip. The biggest thing I noticed is I wasn’t as “gassed” at the end of the day. I would rip up a climb or section and while waiting for my buddies, I heard more tire spin from them on their stock tires over the same roots and rock features. Gives a ton of confidence and just seemed like I didn’t have to work as hard.

Traction and longevity

I jumped at the opportunity to try this tire and I haven’t been disappointed! It has some of the best grip of any tire I have ran (I would say comparable the the JX8). It does last quite a bit longer than the super soft tires it rivals. Every rider is different but I could see getting 40 hours out of this tire.
